Our Girls Weekend

Well, what a weekend we had. We had heaps of fun as well as raising lots of money for the Lions Medical Research Foundation. Barb is our Sewing Champion! She won the sew off, finally competing with good friend Lyn. As you can see there was some foul play resulting in Barb getting back to the table first with her finished block. Thank goodness Lyn is such a good sport. A huge thank you must go to everyone who helped make our weekend a success and a special thank you to those who traveled from Bundaberg, Biloela, and Howard.

You could always come for a holiday. There is always a spare bed somewhere. Why don't you talk Nicky into coming over for our October weekend. We would love to have you both.

What a great week-end you all had. I am even more upset now that I couldn't come. Was that a treadle you were doing the stitch off on?. Way to go Barb! any hanky panky to get the win is always good. I see the frilly pink cook is still working hard. I'm still laughing John. I see some nice quilts there. Erin and I will be cutting into her stash over the holidays and she will be making her first quilt. Thanks Maria! she is just as good a fabric gatherer than me.
I will need the slow pace. I have made 5 quilts already this month for display at the shop. Too much nice fabrics coming in.

Yes Julie that was my treadle. That is my pride and joy. I took it to the sleep over to play the sew off. I think most people enjoyed "playing" on it. And yes John still fits his pretty pink apron. We had a great weekend and looking forward to the next one. You better book your holidays NOW.
