Catty business.....

Rita has been very busy again with those lovely cat quilts. The first one was made with scraps and the seconds one with little panels. Some child will find great enjoyment in such a comforter.

A comfort quilt for a friend

Elfi made this quilt for a friend from church who has lost her grand-daughter 6 months ago. As they are all living under the same roof, Miss Lizzie was grand-ma's off-sider in many things, like crafts, baking, etc. Grand-ma now feels pretty lost and needed something special to comfort her.

This one has Elfi's name on it

After making lots of quilts for friends and family, Elfi has finally made one for herself and is very happy with the results. On this one she tried again the faux-piping on the border.

A few more "first" quilts....

Here are a couple more "first" quilt of  Lady DiDi, she keeps making first ones because it's so much fun!!! Also she's a very busy lady with her "home work", doing all those quilts for the the charity organisation the Boolboonda Ladies Group are involved in.

This last picture is the backing of the above quilt.

Another scrappy quilt

Another scrappy quilt made by Margaret.  This is a
double-bed quilt.  Doesn't matter what colours, they
look terrific when they are all joined together.

Wall Hanging made with old school samplers

Margaret was given these samplers by her sister-in-law earlier this year, so she put them together in this wall hanging.
The hanging shows her four sisters-in-law names and the schools they attended during the 1950's and 60's.
This sister-in-law is turning 70 next month, so guess what she is getting back!!
Thanks must go to the mother (RIP) who kept these treasures all those years, passing them on before she passed.

Comfort quilt for a friend

Elfi made this scrappy quilt out of leftover blocks of that quilt made to be raffled for a fundraiser for Africa last year..
Her friend has lost a breast and she's recovering slowly. She was so thrilled upon receiving this lap quilt.
