A bit of "Retro"

For a friend

Elfi just finished this lap quilt for a friend. For the border she tried for the first time to put a

The first of many.....

Di D. of Mt.Perry is new to quilting/patchwork and bought this kit and woved never to make a quilt again....well this is her first quilt and she's now working on her 3rd.....or is it already the 4th..... She must have caught a certain bug!!!!

Thomas the Tank Engine

Di made this single bed quilt is for her 4 year old nephew, who is obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine!  It is mostly free motion quilted, the 1st of which she has done.  Di is very pleased with how it has turned out.  She used baking paper to sew little pictures of characters from the tv show in the top and bottom borders.  They came out very well.
