Fundraiser

Pene made this quilt, together with the quilting ladies as a fundraiser for the Boolboonda Hall. This beautiful 3D quilt is being raffled.

Some more of Pene's coming....

Some more of Pene's "masterpieces"

Froggy quilt of Margaret

Di's pink/purple marvel

Yes, she's at it again.....

Africa - Quilt with matching pillow case

Di made this one for her brother, it has got a matching pillow case.

Found them, found them, found them....

I finally found all those pictures of quilts I've been meaning to post, they had been missing for some time....that's the reward of tidying up in your folder....

Here are some made by Di, she's a very busy girl!!!

Margaret C. has been sooooo busy!!!

Now look at all those lovely quilts Margaret has done for herself....but she admitted if one of her children ask her for anyone of them, she won't be able to say NO....aren't we mothers all like that.... :-)

By the way, the purply ones were supposed to be just one quilt but with sashing added for better looks, it turned out into 2 very nice quilts

Girls Night In

And girls, lots more fun coming up!!!!
We have another "Girls Night In" coming up, on the week-end 21st and 22nd of April. Keep this date in mind and make yourself free to come and join uns. Great things are happening. Even if you can't join us for the full week-end or can't spend the night, come for part of the happening, you're all welcome!!! But make sure you book yourself in, it's essential for the preparations.
See leaflet.

We're happy!!! Our group grew again, a few lovely ladies joined us. We have now
Angie who comes from somewhere near Gin Gin and Margaret Burgess who is the mail lady from Mt.Perry, Margaret Curtis, Lorraine Clark and Jewel Wilson. I think we will have some fun times ahead of us!!!!

crumb bag

This bag is made from “crumbs”. I hand quilted the pockets some time ago and had never done anything with them. So I sewed all my crumbs together put the pockets on the front and back, and voila … I have another bag. – Maria

Bright Daisy

I wanted to make my mother-in-law something bright and cheery to brighten her dull and sometimes miserable days. She feels the cold very badly so I made her this bright daisy lap size quilt to drape over her knees while sitting in her chair. I can’t wait to see her and give it to her now. – Maria

Raw edge applique

This is another one on my “to do list” done. Raw edge applique. Done now, don’t think I’ll do it again. Not sure if I like the idea of “raw edges”. - Maria

3D tulip

This is a little wall hanging that I made in January. This has been on my "to do list" for some time now. I wanted to try this 3D patchwork on something small before starting a big quilt. I think it looks ok. - Maria.
